Aquaculture Ltd was established in 1996 as a small specialist hydroponics company and is now the largest hydroponics retail outlet in the UK with their own 850 sqft green house.

Hydroponics is the process of growning plants without soil. Both the commercial and hobby grower use hydroponic growing systems, hydroponic growing media, indoor grow lights and hydroponic nutrients. Our products have several advantages over conventional gardening for example year round gardening, quicker plant growth with increased yield, better use of space, enhanced flavour of crops, no soil borne pests, no more digging and weeding and an efficient use of water.

Previous and potential collaborations with Sheffield Hallam University chemistry department. Accessed funding and successfully developed products and took it to the market.
