Bethan is a "spin-off" company, set up to aid technology transfer between academia and industry. They have successfully collaborated with industry on numerous research projects, including EU LIFE, EU FAIR/CRAFT, RECRAFT and BIOWISE projects.

Bethan is currently involved with projects on corrosion, particularly microbiologically influenced corrosion, filtration, particularly filter testing and understanding filter performance and effluent treatment. The company also has expertise in olive oil recycling.
