Blinding success scheme
What is it?
The Blinding Success Scheme is a grant scheme run by Reco International Ltd, a Rotherham based consultancy firm. Reco provides independent business support and mentoring, specialising in bioscience, engineering sciences and innovative technologies.
Grant support to the Blinding Success Scheme is part-funded by the European Commission through Objective 1 and Business Link South Yorkshire.
The scheme helps those with bright ideas create business opportunities, by helping entrepreneurs, academics and small businesses either start-up or develop their young venture through expertise and professional support.
Who can apply?
Companies that are:
• looking to start up a business in South Yorkshire, or have a business that's less than 18 months old.
• aspiring to employ 3-5 people within the next 5 years.
• expect to generate sales of £150K plus per annum.
• have an innovative product or scientific idea.
How much does the company pay?
Mentoring, business planning, and consultancy support (up to a maximum of £5k) is 100% funded to pre-starts and 50% funded to post-starts under 18 months.
30% support (up to a maximum of £5k) is available towards capital.
When can you apply?
Open call, with the scheme running until September 2004.
