Fluent Europe Ltd specialises in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software and services. The first version of the FLUENT code was launched Oct 1983. It was so successful and the CFD software business grew so rapidly that it became a separate company, headquarted nearby in Lebanon, New Hampshire in 1988. Fluent Inc. quickly formed joint vetures in Europe and Japan, and over the next ten years, grew a network of corperate offices across the world.

Fluent's software is used for the simulation, visualisation, and analysis of fluid flow, heat and mass transfer and chemical reactions. It is a vital part of the computer-aided engineering (CAE) process for companies around the world, and is deployed in nearly a wide range of manufacturing industries.

Fluent has been providing biomedical modelling solutions for over a decade. Fluent's software offers solutions for both drug manufacturing and drug delivery systems, plus many other applications for the pharmaceutical and medical products industries. Devices such as inhalers, blood pumps, artificial heart valves, stents, catheters and mixing tanks have all been successfully modelled with Fluent. This has allowed the quick and efficient testing of different design candidates, under various scenarios, giving increased understanding of operation and interaction with the human body.
