Hallam Biotech is the commercial venture of the BMRC at Sheffield Hallam University and offers a portfolio of services to industry and academia based upon the expertise of the Centre. The portfolio includes an analytical service (for example mass spectrometry, NMR, ICP and ion chromatography), peptide and protein sequencing, peptide synthesis, organic synthesis and cell-based bioassays.

• Materials Research Institute

The Materials and Engineering Research Institute (MERI) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for both research and consultancy, covering a broad range of materials and engineering research.

MERI consists of 4 Research Centres, and a Commercial Services unit (Materials Analysis Research Services - MARS). At MARS we deliver analysis and consultancy services to any industry which has materials based needs. Our research covers a broad range of topics from semiconductors to concrete and from theoretical modelling to industrial applied coatings.
